at the Possums Run Studio

We offer a welcoming space to meet new people, learn a new skill and create something all for yourself! Our all day glass art workshops can be booked per-seat or in groups of up to 4.

Nestled in the Jarrahdale Hills, our studio is a relaxed space in which to learn the craft, with gentle guidance from Penny, our Master Glass Artist.

Penny is an excellent teacher who tailors her guidance to your individual skill level.
Whether you’re just starting out or returning for a challenge, Penny will be alongside to aid you in your learning and creating process.

Penny’s workshops teach either Tiffany Foiling, or the traditional Leadlight method to up to four students at a time. These small classes guarantee individual tuition for everyone involved, with anyone over 16 welcome!

The Workshop price includes all glass, lead / copper and solder used, as well as all of the tools & materials required, tuition for the day and a constant flow of tea, coffee and biscuits…

Just be sure to bring along your creativity, some lunch to stave off the rumbles and to wear closed in shoes!

Workshops commence at 9am and finish at 4pm.

Beginner Foiling Workshop

Head on up and spend a day in the Possums Run Studio!

Our resident artist Penny will walk you through the method of making a great work of glass art,
including as much of her techniques and experience as can be taught in a day.

By the end of the class, you'll take home your very own handcrafted piece of glass art.

What you’ll get:

  • Penny of Possums Run Studio providing skilled tutelage for the day (9am to 4pm)

  • Access to a pre-selected set of project ‘patterns’ suitable for beginners

  • All glass, lead, copper, tools, protective attire and equipment as required

  • A bright studio space within a beautiful bushland setting, shared by only a handful of students at a time.

We've also got tea and coffee on tap — maybe even a couple of sneaky bikkies, but please be sure to bring your own lunch!

Intermediate Glass Art Workshop
$210.00

Return to the Possums Run Studio for an intermediate class, with expert guidance crafting your own project.

Our resident artist Penny will assist you in the design and creation of a great work of glass art.
This includes as much of her more advanced techniques and experience as can be taught in the day.

By the end of the class, you'll have completed or made significant progress on your very own handcrafted piece of glass art.

What you’ll get:

  • Penny of Possums Run Studio providing skilled tutelage for the day (9am to 4pm)

  • Access to a large set of intermediate and advanced patterns, or guidance in creating your own

  • All lead, copper, tools, protective attire and equipment as required, with additional costs for glass negotiated per-project

  • A bright studio space within a beautiful bushland setting, shared by only a handful of students at a time.

We've also got tea and coffee on tap — maybe even a couple of sneaky bikkies, but please be sure to bring your own lunch!
